It won\u00b4t work as a standalone. A skin is not a theme and not even a childtheme (that\u00b4s Dynamik), but just a zip-file to import. It will import design settings as well as (possibly) related custom CSS, functions and JS to DWB.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u00b4ll find a video about <a href=\"http:\/\/dynamikdocs.cobaltapps.com\/article\/125-how-to-install-the-genesis-framework-and-dynamik-website-builder\" target=\"_blank\">how to install Genesis and the Dynamik Website Builder<\/a> in the CobaltApps Docs.<br \/>\nTo understand how the Dynamik skin feature works (if you didn\u00b4t yet), see <a title=\"Dynamik Skin feature\" href=\"http:\/\/dynamikdocs.cobaltapps.com\/article\/169-how-the-dynamik-skins-feature-works\" target=\"_blank\">this video.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to install a Dynamik Website Builder skin:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Create some posts and pages, if you didn\u00b4t do this yet. Usually you don\u00b4t get any content with a skin, so it\u00b4s up to you to create it.<\/li>\n<li>Go through Genesis \u2013 Theme Settings and set everything to your liking.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Appearance \u2013 Menus and create a menu (or two). At the bottom, choose one to be your Primary Navigation and save. <a href=\"http:\/\/sg-demo.com\/amare-basic\/setup\/\">For menu setup for Amare especially, see here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you already have your own settings and DWB-design in place, a skin will not overwrite them \u2013 you can always switch back to your own skin (or the default, if you worked on that). Still, if you want to be 100% sure, do two exports in Dynamik Settings and Dynamik Design first to have a backup, before you go on!<\/li>\n<li><strong>If your downloaded file says UNZIP ME in its name, please do that first!<\/strong> Then <a href=\"http:\/\/dynamikdocs.cobaltapps.com\/article\/127-how-to-import-install-a-dynamik-skin\" target=\"_blank\">import the skin zip file in Genesis \u2013 Dynamik Design \u2013 Import\/Export<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Appearance \u2013 Widgets, and drag some widgets into the available widget areas. Some of them might need some content to look right. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/72x72\/1f609.png\" alt=\"?\" \/><\/li>\n<li>You can now edit away and change settings and colors to your liking &#8211; you might want to create a skin with a new name though before you start, so you can always switch back to the original one.
