This is how Crelly Slider in the Feature Top would look like.
The slider in use here is Crelly slider. It´s (at the time of writing this) a free, well supported plugin that allows for animated layers.
However, the Feature Top should work with any slider that´s able to display full-width and gives you shortcodes to insert into a textwidget. In Crelly Slider, you´d have to select “Layout: Fluid”, a start width that matches your pics and a height you´d wish your slider to have. Please read the docs:

My Crelly settings look like this (click):
Create your slider, save it and copy the shortcode. Drag a textwidget into Feature Top and insert the slider shortcode. Save.
I included a bit of CSS styles for Crelly. There´s a layer that will darken the top of the pics so the menu will stay readable. And I moved the progress bar to the bottom. You will find that in Dynamik Design – Skins – Amare – CSS (commented). Remove it, edit it or extend it, whatever you like.
If you run into problems with CSS coming from your third-party slider plugin and colliding with Dynamik (didn´t notice any with Crelly), please visit the support forum of the plugin and don´t forget to include a link to your site. Don´t blame me, however. 😉
